AACCF was thrilled to collaborate with the Funmike Empowerment Foundation in facilitating a lifechanging borehole water project at St. Thomas Anglican School in Ososa, located within the Odogbolu Local Government Area. Led by the inspiring Miss Oluwafunmike Esther Salami, this remarkable initiative has finally provided the community with a reliable water source after an astounding 16 years without access to clean water.
The completion of this project brought immeasurable joy and relief not only to the students but to the entire community, many of whom had been without a sustainable water supply for over a decade and a half. The installation of the borehole marked a significant milestone for Ososa, ensuring the residents and students can now access clean, safe water. This success story is a reminder that when communities unite with shared purpose and determination, they can create lasting and transformative change.
The impacts of this borehole project have been far-reaching. Access to clean water after 16 years without has drastically reduced the risk of waterborne diseases. The community now enjoys improved hygiene and sanitation, aligning with UN SDG Goal 6, which advocates for clean water and sanitation for all.
