EYIN OSUN GOES LIVE

On that fateful day in December 2022, precisely on the fourth, a Sunday morning, I vividly recall standing in Eyin Osun, witnessing the 5G communication mast coming to life. It was more than just a structure; it symbolised connectivity, bridging the gap between isolated villages and the broader world. With my Adeola Azeez Community Care Foundation and the support of Airtel Nigeria, we embarked on a mission to bring change to this underserved cluster of communities.

Eyin Osun, located in the heart of Ijebu North East Ogun State, is a place with no fancy cars or houses, just resilient people relying on cocoa plantations and a river. As we journeyed back on January 18, 2024, our goal was clear – to connect hearts, voices, and possibilities through the re-Launch of a telecommunication mast, a beacon of progress, aimed to cut through poverty, as evidenced by recent World Bank statistics.

In collaboration with Airtel Nigeria, we were proud to have provided the 5G Mast and now free SIM cards loaded with airtime, opening the door to the internet for all. It wasn’t just about technology; it was about empowering the youth as I promised another return with Android phones, aligning with UN SDGs 1, 9, and 17.

The mission reached beyond Eyin Osun, touching lives and supporting the broader community.

I want to express my sincere gratitude to Airtel Africa and Channels Nigeria for their pivotal roles. Airtel’s swift action made the change possible, while Channels Nigeria amplified our cause.
