Empowering Education: Adeola Azeez and Partners Launch ‘Back to School’ Initiative for 1,000 Children in Ijebu Central

In a remarkable show of community spirit and commitment to education, Mrs. Adeola Azeez, the founder of the Adeola Azeez Community Care Foundation (AACCF), partnered with Skill and Chestrad Limited to launch a transformative ‘Back to School’ project. This initiative, aimed at supporting children in Ijebu Central Federal Constituency, saw a week-long visitation to over 50 communities, touching the lives of hundreds of students.

On September 9th, 2022, the initiative kicked off with significant contributions from Chestrad Limited, which donated 1,000 books, and Skill, which contributed 500 hard-cover notebooks along with financial grants. Despite these generous donations, Mrs. Azeez went above and beyond by personally raising funds to support 1,000 indigenous children across the constituency, ensuring they had the educational resources they needed to thrive. Her fundraising efforts also included support from her network of female friends, who are influential bankers and entrepreneurs.

Throughout the week, Mrs. Azeez and her partners visited multiple communities, distributing ‘back-to-school’ kits filled with essential supplies, including exercise books, pencils, pens, erasers, and sharpeners for primary and nursery school pupils. Secondary school students received additional hardcover books and learning materials. The initiative, which continues to grow, stands as a beacon of hope and dedication to improving the educational opportunities for children in the region.
