Back-to-School Initiative 2026: Threads of Dignity

Every child deserves to return to school feeling prepared, confident and included.

In 2026, the Adeola Azeez Community Care Foundation (AACCF) took this belief to Emmanuel Anglican Primary School, Italupe, Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State, through its annual Back-to-School Initiative, themed Threads of Dignity.

The initiative was created to ease the burden on families and provide children with essential items needed for a successful return to school. Through the support of Emadeb Foundation, AACCF’s major funding partner for the initiative, alongside individual donors and supporters, 165 pupils received school essentials designed to support both their dignity and learning.

What We Provided

Each participating pupil received:

Two sets of school uniforms
Two pairs of socks
A school bag
Class-appropriate learning materials, including notebooks and writing supplies
Light refreshments during the handover

In total, the project delivered 330 uniform sets, 330 pairs of socks and 165 school bags, alongside learning materials for the participating pupils.

The learning materials were tailored to the pupils’ class levels to ensure that the support provided was practical and relevant to their everyday learning needs.

More Than a School Uniform

For a child, having a clean uniform, a school bag and the basic materials needed for class can make a meaningful difference.

Threads of Dignity was therefore designed not simply as a distribution exercise, but as an intervention that supports children’s confidence, sense of belonging and readiness to learn.

The project also includes six-month attendance monitoring, allowing AACCF to follow up beyond the initial handover and better understand the continued impact of the intervention.

A Community Effort

AACCF is deeply grateful to Emadeb Foundation for its support in making the 2026 initiative possible.

We also appreciate the individual donors and supporters who contributed to the project, as well as the school leadership, teachers and parents whose cooperation helped make the intervention a reality.

Together, we are helping remove some of the everyday barriers that can stand between children and their education.

Building Dignity Through Opportunity

At AACCF, we believe that supporting a child means looking beyond the immediate need and creating an environment in which that child can learn, grow and dream.

Through Threads of Dignity, 165 pupils began a new school year with essential items in hand and a renewed sense of readiness.
